Can anyone give me some advice on removal of this pin? I have tried roll pin punches and it just won't budge. I think I may soak it with some break free this evening and try it. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

What type of gas block are you trying to remove? Is it a low profile or the standard A2 sight/gas block. Are you switching to a different gas block? But to answer your question, you need to be working on a solid surface when you try to knock the roll pin loose. I've used a 1/16" drill bit with great success. If all else fails you could always use a bigger hammer.

I can only echo what excist_and_reflect said. Work on a solid surface, use a good quality punch, and place a bit of penetrating oil on the pin, let it work in. Usually it’s the FSB taper pins that give people trouble!

It's a low profile on my colt accurized. I may try the drill bit and penetrating oil this evening. Thanks for the help.
