I've got a DPMS upper with an A3 flat top and a bull barrel that I'm trying to disassemble. Is there a trick to removing the gas tube? It's got a low profile gas block and I have driven out the pin in the block but the tube still is tight in the block. I figured I'd ask before things get ugly.

I take it the handguards are already off?

Try a set of standard vice-grips with electrical tape on the jaws.
Clamp firmly (don't squish tube!) and tap with hammer toward the receiver.
It should come out.

Ghostring, Thanks for the input. I thought a little persuasion might be needed but, I didn't want to go forcing something that shouldn't be forced.

I wondered if anybody would pick up on the Johnny 5 quote.

Thanks Quib, I wasn't sure if the gas tube on the bull barrel/low profile gas block was mounted the same as a standard FSB. It never hurts to ask.
