Has anyone ever used this coating on internal parts of their AR?  I was thinking the bolt carrier, bolt, and fire control group.  Any ideas if it would be of any benefit?

I guess no one has used this coating.  Maybe I wil call them and see if it is even possible on this type of internal gun parts.  I know it has been used on the frames and slides of handguns, and works well.

I have had three handguns done by Armoloy.  They do great work but use a vapor honing process to give a matte finish to the steel which is like a micro bead blast effect... its not smooth, its matte.  It a good hard chrome company but I would not bother coating my FCG with hard chrome and I am a weirdo that will actually put exotic coatings on my gun parts.  I am trying to move on to better platings and coatings than hard chrome.  I think its outdated personally.  It still can rust and the vapor honing creats tiny bumps that carbon likes to hold onto.  I had to rub with Flitz to remove all the carbon (I am also a weirdo about cleaning plated parts) and it got a polished look from that.  Even after it was polished it still seemed to hold carbon.  Never figured out why.
