| During a sale of parts to a fellow board member a odd AR trigger was discovered. It appears to be normal however the recess for the disconnecter spring is next to the trigger pin pivot. All the one I have observed before were about 3/8 of an inch farther back. This trigger will not work with a standard discinnecter or spring. The only markings is a 2 in a circle on the left side forward of the pivot hole. If I recall correctly this trigger and one other, (I found two in my parts box) came from demilled Colt rifles that belonged to a Law Enforcement Agency. These are Semi Auto triggers as the rear is closed not open. Has any one else ever had one of these. |
Its an earlier trigger. Colt moved the disconnector pocket back to give it more leverage on the disconnect after doubling issues with the faster carrier speeds in the carbines? Might not be exactly true, but I'm sure someone will pipe up on it soon. many triggers still have this spring pocket, but the disconnectors do not. Brett |
