That answers my first question, thanks.
My Olys trigger is what i consider very good as is my BILs Bushmaster. Im just curious if Stags are all this stiff. My brothers(real one) frankenAR trigger is way smoother. Again im not complaining just curious about the Stags and if they are all like that. Its actually just fine for defense. Mmmkay i got my good fish scale and tested the triggers for the Stag and the Oly. Stag @ 9.5 pounds Oly @ 6.25 Other comparisons fer shitz n giggles Tikka t-3 lite @ 3.75 Savage LE-2 @ 2.5 |

Here's the email address of a guy that'll smooth up your factory trigger for you. Give Bill a shout .... had him do mine - made a big difference. He charges $28 to do 'em. Unless you're really wanting to spend the $ for a 'match trigger', this'll be the way to go. He will have it back to you, in about a week. [email protected] |
Bingo. It will get smoother as it breaks in, but it won't get any lighter. A little grease on the trigger and hammer contact areas will help as well. You can also lighten it a little with a set of JP springs. |

Sometimes wizzo it depends.Ive heard on the M16A2 burst controls that aside from the cam not resetting itself like if you fire 2 shots in burst mode the next time you pull the trigger 1 shot gets fired or if 1 shot next time you squeeze 2 shots and the trigger pull weight can vary from shot to shot in burst mode..that is messed up..at least in single stage semi-auto the pull is consistent..it is what it is.On my 3 carbines I have a 11 pound,12 pound and 14lb trigger pull all different on all 3. At least though no matter the weight of the pull its a single action let off each time if you think about it.Thats what makes it manageable even though its heavy, single stage. On a field rifle you want at least 10lbs at least for my piece of mind, ive seen hammers slip the trigger sear when droped on the butt hard on rifles that had less than 5 lbs trigger pull weight.A fellow at my club when I used the pull gauge it registered 3.5 pounds im glad its chamber was empty, wasnt looking forward to see if it would go off. To get a lighter let off he let one of the hammer spring legs off the trigger pin and that was on the grooved side to boot...lucky it didnt walk although tension was so low I could have pushed out the hammer pin with a pen tip. |

Hi all, I have a product that is designed for improving trigger pull on AR-15s we call the TPRK. We are just starting to market it to the public after much testing. A major retailer on this site might start selling them soon if things work out. So far all of our feild testers have been very happy with our product and one thing for sure the price is right. If this is a violation of the C.O.C. I am sorry. Just trying to help out a bit. Thanks all. www.elkmontarms.com |
