I already own two Colts,a Sporter and an H-Bar and now im looking into an M4 type and i dont want to put the money out for another Colt so im leaning towards a Bushmaster M4 type with all the bells and whistles. My question is out of all the makers out there, how do they rank overall and in reliability? thanks in advance

this will probably end in some sort of crap storm

but in my humble opinion Bushmaster or Rock River is the way to go i have no hard fast preference between those 2
Id rate Armalite 3rd followed by DPMS then Olympic

just my observations from selling and fixing them for 10 years

Bushmaster is a great company. They are one of my favorites, for both parts and complete guns. I also highly suggest RRA.

I own two Colts and several Bushmasters.  I have been more than pleased with my Bushmaster M4s.

Regardless of what lower you use, I've heard nothing but excellent reviews about Bravo Company uppers which Pat Rogers refers to as tier one.  I personally would get one with a 14.5 barrel and add a perm. FH. (actually I already have one).  Add CMT or LMT B/BC/CH and drop it on a CMT/Stag or LMT lower with Mil. Tube.  Add your choice of rail, optics, and stock.

These are the uppers I've heard are built right:
Colt
Bravo Co.
LMT
CMT
CMMG

For the price & quality it's hard to beat a Stag.

+1, if you're looking for a factory M4gery.

Personally I prefer midlengths now and Stag doesn't offer them.  IMHO custom build is the best way to go.  For the price of a lot of factory offerings, you could get a Denny's "operator" barrel custom build from Denny for example.

Very well.  I've been happy with my Bushy's.  They are not Colts (or LMT's) but they are very good ARs.
