Hi,
I hope this doesn’t sound too stupid but I have a problem.  I have an Olympic Arms k3b AR-15 and have only shot it once.  While shooting it the collapsible stock began to rotate after appr. 150 rounds.  I tightened it back by hand after shooting and cleaned it and reassembled with no problems.  I recently separated the upper and lower to oil lightly and after reassembly noticed the bolt did not fully seat forward.  I disassembled the rifle again and noticed the pin that stops the buffer tube from rotating too far forward was bent and had actually came out of the hole is should have been in as well as the spring.  I am wondering if the pin is actually the buffer detent and the buffer detent spring.  I need clarification if this is the right terminology for the part of if anyone can decipher my post.  Sorry for a long post and let me know if more info is needed.  Thanks for you help

When you take the gun apart does the buffer come out past the detent?

yep. The cheapest way to replace it would be to post a "wtb" ad in the equipment exchange; somebody's bound to have a spare they can send you cheap. Since the buffer detent is f*cked, you may as well not take the chance, and go ahead and replace the spring as well. To keep your buffer tube from loosening in the future, you can apply some blue loctite to it before you assemble it, or some of the green loctite after it's assembled. DO NOT use red loctite!
