I bought a scope from the EE and the guy included the mounting base, (awesome deal!) I am not quite sure if the base is ok though. It has 3 mounting screws to that allow it to attach to the rails on my A4. Well, one of them is rounded and protrudes as if to stop the scope from sliding around and the other two are flat. Is this normal? I would think that all 3 should be rounded to keep the scope from flying off the rifle. Can i see some pics of how your optics/accessories mount to the rails?

I appreciate the help.

Sounds normal to me.  You only want/need 1 to protrude into the slots to prevent fore/aft motion.  Any more than that and you can have issues if you need to mount the mount forward and are using a extended railed forearm.

Awesome, That's exactly what I was hoping to hear. Thank you.

For what it's worth it's a Leaper's 3-12X44 Mini Size Range Estimating Mil-Dot Illuminated Scope. My 20" complete A4 Upper will be here this week and I will post pics and a range report. Looks like a great scope and should make a nice addition to my rifle.
