Impressions:

Upper.  Nice fit and finish and mates well with the SA lower.  Ammunition cycles well, with a minor exception noted later.  Accuracy seems good with specific comments noted in the ammunition comments.

Versapod.  All I can say is "it works".  I am not sure I like how it looks or the way it attaches to the tube.  Seems kinda clunky in movement.  Not very tight while deployed.  I think I am going to upgrade to a Harris.

Burris Xtreme tactical 30mm rings.  I LOVE these rings.  They look sexy and preform even better.  What I love best is the height of the ring.  It places a scope at what I consider the perfect height above the receiver, .75 inches.  With the 56mm objective on my scope and the Butler Creek cover, I have a gap of .155 between the bottom of the scope and the handguard tube.  I am able to have a normal, comfortable cheek weld with the rear stock.  I had tried a 1 pc scope mount from Model 1 and Leupold PRW rings with unfavorable impressions.  The first was way too high and the second way too low for a comfortable sight picture and cheek weld.

Millett scope.  I am incredibly impressed with this scope.  It may not be the first choice of some, but I am thrilled with the purchase.  Very good optical clarity, smooth movements, the side focus feature is freakin awesome.  Turrent adjustments on the target turrents are precise with some excellent metal covers that fit completely over them.  The scope has a bullet proof design, maybe a bit heavy, but not a concern for me on a varmint rig. Suggested retail is a bit up there at $475, but I was able to find one new on ebay for $185.  Millett's warranty is a "no shit" warranty.  If you have problems, they send you a new tube.  Lifetime.  If it sounds like I am sold on Millett scopes, I am.

Butler Creek covers.  Look good, work great, good value.

SA lower.  I like it.  No nonsense, good finish, mates well with the Model 1 upper and my M&A middy upper.

White Oak tuned RRA trigger.  Nice!  Dramatic improvement over stock and works well enough for me.  Good value compared to other triggers.

G27 grip.  Not bad.  Doesn't fit my hand perfectly, but it is a huge improvement over stock.

M4stock and CAA saddle.  I prefer this over the A2 stock for the ability to adjust the length.  The saddle makes for a nice cheek weld.  I like having the extra weight for improved balance.  I may look at casting and selling the weights if I see interest.  The handle weight adds 10 oz, I haven't weighed the saddle weights.  They fit inside the battery storage areas of the saddle.

Ammo (groups were fired at 100 yards)

XM855PD.  Shoots and cycles well in the rig.  5 shot group size was 1.175", one was a flyer.  The 4 shot group w/o the flyer was .545".

Hornady handload.  Nice.  I may want to play with Reloader15, but H4895 seems to work well.  Federal brass cycled well.  5 shot group size was .635".  I got sloppy here, 3 shots were touching and 2 others were touching.  Need to work on my form.

Winchester FMJBT handload.  5 shot group size .78 inches.  I don't like Remington brass.  I get more than a few FTE.  The extractor actually strips the rim.  Not sure if I have an actual upper or bolt problem, but I don't have the problem with the LC or federal brass.

Widener reload.  Ugh!  You get what you pay for in bullets.  Plink all you want, but don't ask for anything else.  Damn bullets looked like a shotgun pattern.  5 shot group size, 2.8".  It does, however, penetrate very well.

All in all, I am very happy with the rig.  I will be working some more on my loads for the Hornady, but they are nice bullets that frequently go on sale at Midway.  $10.99/100 this month.  I will be heading over to my buddies house this week to help him with his coyote problem.

I would post pictures, but my ISP doesn't give me hosting space and the wife has yet to authorize my AR15 gold membership expense...
