Has anyone tried out these mags in there ar's? I just picked up my new M4 bushmaster and am looking for the best mags for it. The CP website states that thier mags are issued to special forces troops over in the sand box. I'm interested in thier 30rd s/s with the chrome silicon springs and non-tilt followers. The other mags I'm interested in are the new ones from Brownells. Has anyone had any experiances with these mags. Both the CP and Brownell mags are the same price at $17.99 each I just want the ones with the best track record. Thanks for the input

The CP stainless mags are excellent quality and an excellent value.  Try the Mar-lube finished steel mags and you'll want nothing else.  Not to mention their customer service is second to none.

the weight difference between the steel mag vs. aluminum is negligible.

The aluminum magazine for the M16 was designed to be expendable.  For us civvies, this isn't practical or economical.

The anti-tilt proprietary follower works as advertised and the finish holds up very well.  The steel body is going to hold up better during hard use (or abuse) than the aluminum.

You can't go wrong with 'em.

I ordered a couple of these mags at the recommendation of a Mr. Wilson on this site and they have worked flawlessly. cproductsllc.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.cgi/00242.4.2984876857800009108

Yep, even with the discount they are higher than straight from CP. I've got thirty-six SS mags from CP and they are the top of the line as far as I'm concerned. Excellent customer service and product.

I've been testing C Products SS mag for a few months now with the black Mar-lube finish, C P followers are designed and made by Magpul and chrome silicone springs.

Externally it's the same size as a USGI mag but the inside width dimension is slightly wider so that the ammo is stacked with less height which allows it to load the full 30 rounds and still easy to load on a closed bolt.

Mine runs fine, need to get some more and there are more info in this thread in the AR magazine forum.

Great Mags.     Took advantage of the fathers day sale and ordered some more.  I've put several hundred rounds through the 5 that I origonally bought with no problems.  You can't go wrong with these.

Bought ten and got two or three of the aluminum mags awhile back during a sale and purchased twenty more 5.56 for father's day. Got 6 free SS 6.8 mags as a result. Can't beat over $150 in free mags.

I stand corrected.

(I'd still go with Cproducts mags.)
