Noobie question: (Even though I shouldn't really be a noobie by now!)

I have a Bushmaster Modular carbine, and have grown weary of the heavy YHM free float rail that it came with and would like to upgrade to a Larue or DD rail.  Is it within the realm of DIY to make the switch on my own, or is this best done by a smith?  Will I need to buy additional parts, or is it a matter just a matter of switching rails and mounting nuts?

To give background, I can swap stocks and build a lower, but so far have avoided installing barrels etc...

You will need a wrench and receiver blocks, but its certainly not difficult.  If you are looking for the lightest rail, that would be the Daniel Defense.
