I admit to lurking around this board, but having rotated out in 66 have no knowledge of a AR. I was all ready to go for the cmp AR but can not find any info at my club if its available anymore. So now I see that DPMS is offering a AR type in 260. Now this got my attention for long range shooting. All of my rifles are bolts, and I reload too. What does this board say, get the 260 or cmp 223 which I believe you can switch uppers. as in go to a scope upper. I have enough hunting rifles, just like to get some down range shooting, as my club has a 600 yd berm. Jim |
