Similar in appearance to the MRP at half the cost....anybody have any input from experience with this system?  Likes and dislikes?  I was looking for a system that made the free-float tube and receiver from one solid chunk of metal, and love the MRP setup but not the pricetag....feedback please!

Here is the link to the setup

My understanding is that no VIS production models have been released so it's pretty unlikely that a comparison through experience can be made.

I believe the VIS at those prices is just the stripped upper and does not include a barrel, bolt group, etc.

Cheers

I've been wondering this myself. I don't think that alot of them are in to many hands as of yet. I have seen some T&A samples on some of the different forums, but that's about it. The rifle length upper is supposed to be out soon. I look forward to the reviews.

I just found the link to the large thread on this HERE...I have a spare Wilson Combat lower I have been wanting to put a Monolith upper on, but at the same time want to do a rifle chambered in 6.8 utilizing a Mike Rock barrel....I appears the VIS system in the rifle length, which is probably due out any day, is just the ticket to satisfy both worlds....I would have a solid monolith upper/rail system while using my own Rock heavy barrel and low profile gas block....And the price is outstanding for what you are getting, especially when you have some parts laying around to plug in what is not included, i.e. bolt, barrel, etc.

I will definitely be keeping an eye on this product!!!!
