Very nice indeed.  I wouldn't mind having that on a lower.

Verty nice indeed. Now, on a side note, someone that decided to put an A2 stock on his rifle should consider engraving the words that Leonidas said at Thermopylae:

"Go, tell the Spartans, stranger passing by, That here, obedient to their laws, we lie. "

That would be cool.

Buttstocks, mags,  no problem........

Slight hijack, but I am thinking of having a design made for a new tattoo, and am looking for something with the Spartan shield, helmet, and spear on left flank. Then an American Flag (possibly battle flag), Minute man style hat (don't know what they are called), and a brown bess on the right flank of design.

                              Helmet                          Hat

                                 Sheild                    Flag

THe Spear and musket crossing behind it.

Anyone ever seen a desgin like this around? The ink guy will do it but I would like to look at a few designs before I commision him to create it.

Isn't a big capital lambda (like on the shield) the logo for a gay/lesbian rights group?

Ohhhhhhhh...me likeee...only suggestion I'd have is that the lambda appears off-center (I know it is centered but bottom-heavy letters/symbols need to be cheated a bit to be optically "correct")

These for sale yet?

Does anyone have a clear print of the actual Greek characters for Molon Labe.  Where can I find them?

Here's the pic of the actual statue of Leonidas in Greece.  It's a bit small but I think you can still read it.  At least you know it's authentic because it the real thing...

The upside down V on the spartan shield is the capital greek letter lambda for Lakedaimon; another name for Sparta.

Also, glad you brought up the Gadsen Flag. I am planning on running a short series but need to check to make sure it is legal to use the image. Kinda weird since it is actually what the flag stands against.......

Heres one I ran for a client.

Wouldn't the Gadsen design be in the public domain now?

Mopar is right about rotary vs laser engraving.  Rotary would be better.

But that is the correct "spelling" or lettering for it.

I am sure Gadsden ("Don't Tread On Me") is public domain.

I get good comments about these (both now built as rifles) at the range.

That is a beutiful lower, I also like the other one with the safe fire and full auto being in greek with molon labe as full auto.

Of subject what about having "Front towards emeny" on the front of the mag well. I think that would be funny.

Yes, I can do it.
Cost depends on the image, quanity and where you want it.
Email me the image and placement and I can give you a quote
Sincerely,

So, is it too soon to start pestering you about the Katrina lower yet?
7/15/2006 7:20:51 PM EDT
[#46]
Slightly off topic, but what is the legality of having a lower marked for full auto, when it isn't full auto, only semi.  Does it matter or not?

Also, likemopar what kind of lowers do you use?  Are they made clean just for you, or do you machine your own?

You should try making the serial number and caliber in Roman numerals or the Greek equivalent.
