| Quick question, does the end of a gas tube need to be sealed or can it remain open? |
In your original question, I'm guessing you were asking about the end of the tube that goes into the FSB, is that correct? If so, the answer is: it needs to be sealed. The only hole should be in the side of the tube where it matches up with the hole in the top of your barrel. The other end (that goes into the upper receiver) is obviously open so the gas can blow back into your upper receiver. Are you trying to make a tube from scratch, is that why you are asking? Gene As for the peanut butter in the eye deal. Have you tried one of those PRI peanut butter busters? I heard they work pretty well..... |
Pfft, I find a slice of bread works just as well, especially when you use grape jelly instead of CLP to lube the rifle (make sure the bolt is dripping with the stuff)
