Not planning on it, but just curious. Does it have to be purchased from a Class 3 Dealer?

You should be planning on it. Having a suppressor makes your evil gun even more evil and not to mention it is a ton of fun to shoot suppressed.

Nope. But if you take transfer from a private owner you have to jump through all the same hoops.

There's no escaping that little stamp.
