| has anyone used a miculek or bennie cooley compensator or both which one should I get it'll be for a 308 but any info even if for a 223 would be appreciated thanks |

There are several variations of the bennie coolie comp. There are only 2 versions of the Miculek comp, 223 and 308. In my opinion, the 308 Miculek is WAY TOO BIG and HEAVY. I would go with a Bennie Coolie or MSTN if you are just going to buy it and thead it on your existing barrel. I don't like how the Miculek indexes with a locknut either. I index all of them with the lathe, trimming the barrel shoulder until they tighten into correct index. The installation comes out much nicer this way, no shims or washers to index... I also open up muzzle devices to clear larger calibers and the 223 miculek opened up to clear a 308 would be a good option as well. |
