| in my experience, the term goes back to before the machinegun ban in 86, then people would refer to some guns as preperation for the zombie uprising, a tongue in cheek self admitted statement that they realize the weapon is not at all practical or that the likelyhood of them using it as designed is about as likely as the dead rising from the grave. but they are cool guns non the less. |

+1 Also one must remember that if you are prepared for a Zombie scenario then you're pretty much ready for ANY SHTF situation with the exception of nuclear/ biological attacks.

According to Resident Evil, biological WAS the cause of zombies. According to Doom, archology of Mars was the cause of zombies. According to the south, New Orleans is the cause of zombies. I can't remember what caused zombies in Shaun of the Dead.
According to every zombie movie, you must cause brain trauma or sever the spinal cord at the neck to down a zombie. Body Armor won't help if you single tap to the head. Man I need new movies to watch. I'm not scared of zombies. I've never seen a movie with a fast zombie... just large numbers of zombies. Apparently zombies can't open doors.... just need food and supplies... and guns to keep my food and supplies for my family and I.  Hardwarz |

Isn't the zombie reference refering to the old "Night of the living dead" movies and sequels portraying wanton and self-gratifying slaughter of...well...zombies? I mean I can remember those fine actors and actresses will very cool weaponry blowing the shit outta 'em...remember that one guy saying to his buddy.."you gotta shoot 'em in the head to kill 'em"? You should see Dawn of the Dead, the bastards are fast and smart in that movie. Btw, even if they cant manipulate door handles, they are usually able to break through just about anything that isnt heavily fortified. |
