In building my first AR, I have purchased a DPMS lower parts kit.  Can anyone show me where I should take some pre-emptive action to smooth out the feel of the trigger?  I’m not so much interested in lowering the trigger pull as I am about trying to polish out some of the “grittiness” that I keep hearing about.  Can you show me the normal wear points that I can polish some?

I’m waiting for the full assembly till I save up for the upper I want, but I will post picks when complete.

Thank you.

From the sounds of it, you haven't even installed it yet?   There's quite a bit of difference from one standard trigger to the next...  I wouldn't make any adjustments to sear surfaces until after you've installed your trigger and determined if it even needs it or not.

15 min trigger job

Be careful

eta: The contact surfaces do get smoother just from shooting it. mine gets smoother as they break in to each other.

Thank you.

No, I have not installed it yet, I was just hoping to get a little leg up on it while the pieces were out and easy to get to.
