I have been really sweet and nice lately, and she went by the gunstore here in Dallas, D-Rays, and said, "I need something for my husband". The guys who work there know me. So they said, well we have TWO Barretts coming in. My wife says, ok, but call him and say that he needs to come by and see a new product and check it out, etc. So they call and I go by there today and check it out (unknown to me my wife and these guys are plotting and scheming behind my back). They were asking questions like "what do you think" Would you like one, etc. I said I would of course! But could not afford it then as I just bought a Springfield Scout a few weeks ago. So the wifey-poo comes home today and says here you go Cannoncocker! It was $2700.00 and comes with a Uncle Mikes black rifle case, 1 magazine and a Hoppes cleaning kit with bore snake. I would not ever have bought one as I think it was too expensive, but the wife bought it, so I gotta keep it...right!???!!! I cannot host pictures for some reason, I think I am borderline retarded, but I do have a digital camera if someone wants an e-mail pic. I am going to call Barrett on Monday and get their advice as to best optics. |

CannoncockerUSMC, Our Barrett 12.5" has run nearly 3000 consecutive rounds without a failure to function using PRI mags and SSA, Remington, and Hornady ammo. We have not tried the C-products mags as yet. Our Barrett runs a 2 MOA Aimpoint Comp M3 on a LaRue cantilever mount. -- For use primarily in the 0-100 yd range think about using an Aimpoint or Eotech on a Larue mount (as noted, most of our 10" & 12" guns are set-up this way, as are a few of the 14.5 & 16" guns) -- If your engagements are more likely in the 50-300 yd range, a 3.5x TA11 ACOG in a LaRue mount or a LaRue SPR-E mount with around a 1-4x variable like an S&B short dot, Accupoint, NF, or even a Leup 1.5-5x are good choices (most of our 14.5 & 16" guns are like this). -- For 300+ then something like a Leup 3-9x Mk4 MR/T, or a NF 2.5-10x on a LaRue SPR 1.5 mount w/a Doctor Optic is the way to go (a few of our 16" & all the 18" guns are this way). |

Good Gravy, Marie!!!! That is absolutely insane, you'd better be worshipping her more than usual. Go to Barnes & Noble and get "Massage for Dummies". Most of the book is a waste but I think Chapter 7 really explains how to give a good massage. Get the book, read up, then just start in on her with your newly learned techniques and practice up so you can massage for an hour. I can't say my wife bought me a Barrett for doing it but she loved the thoughtfulness as well as the results. Congratulations, Scott |

You could try PRI directly...looks like a 25 rd mag runs $43 www.pri-mounts.com/ pri-mounts.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=PRI&Category_Code=6_8_MM |

www.mstn.biz Mid South Tactical Network. One of the vendors supporting the site. He supplies many of the real high speed low drag types if accounts are accurate. He seems to get hold of or make real interesting stuff though! |

Thank you for thereplies. I am going to get some C Products mags as they are half the price of the PRI mags and will be the same high quality I wouldexpect from C Products. Looks like Midway is the place to buy the ammo. I need to figure out what type of optic to install. Doing some research this weekend. |
| It's kind of funny. My wife of 34 years used to buy me a Ruger 10/22 for every occasion going, God love her. This year, for my birthday, 'she wanted to do something different, but still have something to do with guns.' She bought me 100 shares of Smith & Wesson stock and the stuff is up $1.26 since she bought it. Some of us are just lucky, I guess. |
