I have some questions about highpower and service rifle competition rules. I was hoping someone here could help me out. I attended a highpower event this past weekend and noticed a lot of folks shooting AR-15's. I also noticed most of the National Match AR-15s had no flash suppressor. Is this legal for a service rifle? do you need the flash suppressor to qualify under CMP rules for a service rifle? I am assuming the AR-15 is more accurate without the Flash suppressor.

With or without is legal. There is no difference in accuracy between a properly installed F.S. and a barrel without one. The F.S should be attached hand tight with locktite using crush or peel washers to index properly.
