I own both the M44 and M33 and I like them, I reccomend them for the little money that you spend on them but
you will buy the machined ones soon enough.

Save a little more and just buy the quality first.

Eventually you will have a bunch of parts lying around like me because you buy cheap first.

don't waste your money, if you want to spend as little as possible then get a YHM forearm or a used one in the EE.

I have the M33 handguards and broke them with a verticle grip in certain situations that needed force applied to keep the weapon from hitting my face in target aquisition.  Save your money, go with mil standard machined.

The M33's came on my Fulton Armory upper. They are not good for optics As most 2 piece units are not. And they are made of plastic and are not all that durable.

Save yourself some agony, and go with Midwest Industries!  I went with a MI-17 for my AR, and I couldn't be happier with it!  It mounts rock solid, even with a vertical foregrip, it does not budge!

I had the carbine set awhile back, and melted them on an M4 during a test.  The company was nice enough to send me a new set at no charge.  With that said, I wouldn't do it again.

I've got a set of M44's on one of my Bushmasters. Havn't had any problems but they havn't seen abuse. Got a vert grip and G2 mounted. Better than stock if you want inexpensive rails. But certainly not as stong as aluminum. I got mine off the EE.(thats not the G2)replaced it later on.

My Tango Down would not fit on the M44 system. Other grips MIGHT. You'd probably be better off getting something more mil-spec. The only reason I use them is that the job paid for em.
