I have a 20in barrel on my bushmaster.  I would like to by the 16in bushmaster barrel from their webpage.

Could I change the barrel myself or would I have to take it to a gunsmith?

Is there a tool i can buy to do it myself?

If I have to take it to a gunsmith about how much would it cost?

You need a Armorers Barrel Wrench.
Remember that the bbl must be 16" long to be legal, so you will have to permanently install Phantom or some thing.

Check this thread out:  www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=4&t=226782

There's a step by step on there on how to remove and install a barrel.  Hope this helps.

You'll need an action block, vise, armorer's wrench, 1/16" punch, small hammer, and some moly lube. I'd also recommend a torque wrench, although many get by without one.
