Anybody have any experience with Dlask Arms AR-15s? I just had the opportunity to shoot a couple of Dlask guns while in the Czech Republic. I had never heard of them before and I was suprised to find out that they are made in Canada. www.dlaskarms.com/ I shot both a M4 variant and a short barrelled 9mm version that uses Uzi magazines. Both versions seemed to be decent quality although there were a few problems with the 9mm. The magzines didn't like to stay locked in the mag well and the magazine release button required the use of your thumb and some leverage to actually release the mag when it was locked. Other than that, they both seemed reliable, accurate and well made. I put about 100-150 rounds through each weapon. If anyone has any experience with Dlask Arms, I'd like to know what you think. Anybody know if they are available in the States? |

I was disappointed with fit and finish problems (wrong FSB, misaligned FSB and handguard, gas blow-by past FSB after replacement, misaligned flash suppressor, minor finish problems) with my Dlask Arms M4gery, and am trying to sell it now. Part of my reason for choosing it was to have a made in Canada gun for the patriotic pride that could inspire ... I ended up with something I'm not proud of at all, for a price significantly higher than some American equivalents. I have very high standards, and maybe I'm being too anal about some of these details, but I plan to build my next AR-15 myself to make sure it's up to my standards. I wouldn't even begin to consider Dlask Arms if I were living in the USA. Oh, and customer service was also lacking ... I sent the gun back, at my shipping expense, to have the railed handguard realigned ... they acknowledged that it was flawed and they'd been having that problem frequently, then they tried to charge me for return shipping. I will say that the gun seems reasonably accurate, and has had no failures in the 170 rounds I put through it. |

+1 From all the negs I have heard, I doubt I would ever go Dlask, regardless if they are CDN. IMO, stick with stuff from the US. The only benefit I see (for us here anyway)... are the CQB barrels/uppers from Dlask. Hey, DM... you know you want to ph33r da deer. |
