I have the opportunity to buy a bushmaster M4 style A1 new in box from a local dealer for $750.  Seems like a decent price for a brand new bushmaster.  I can't recall the specific model number I was just curious if this is a new old stock rifle or if this is something in current production.  Honestly, I don't find an A2 style sight necessary because even without the elevation adjustment I'm sure the carbine will outshoot my poor eyes any day.  Looking for any sort of thoughts/opinions.  Thanks, Alex

Sounds like a good deal to me, especially if NIB.

A lot of people actually prefer the A1/C7 style.

Thanks for the replies.  I figured it would be hard to go wrong with a bushmaster.  Hoping to finalize the deal tomorrow(waiting on a paycheck).  Trading in an Eagle arms (Armalite) M15A2.  I would like for my collection to include a 20" A2 but I still feel I am moving up.  I want all the goodies (bayo lug, collapsing stock, 16" barrel) and I figure I'll still be able to get at least one or two more evil black rifles before 2008.

Bushmaster makes those as a new product, wookie. They are not an old item, or 15 year old slow mover.

I really like the look, and BTW: fall into the same "shoots better than my eyes" category you are in.
