Yes, builds/accessorizing is darn expensive. Here is the breakdown for my M4gery (and I'm not done yet):

Rock River Entry Tactical       $925.00
Matech BUIS                           $100.00
KAC RIS                                   $313.00 (purchased by selling a russian sniper scope)
A.R.M.S. Bi-pod Rail Adapter  $80.00
Harris bi-pod                            $65.00
AIMPOINT COMP-M              $300.00 (purchased in 2003)
Surefire M951                          $319.00 (surefire retail) received in a trade

Grand total:                              $2102.00    for this:

And, I still have more things to get. For example: Pelican hard case, ACOG, Laser illuminator, etc.
I might just stop after the Pelican case and the ACOG.

At least I'm habitually safe amongst the rest of you freaks

Stick, that sawzall desperately needs a flashlight and an Aimpoint.  That'd be entertaining at a 3 gun match....
I'd pay big bucks to watch you run out to the long range targets with an extension cord screaming "YOU WANT SOME OF THIS!!!!"

It's really expensive when you start outfitting a couple of ARs with NV gear.

And then, if you're a lefty like me you have to spend extra on each lower for ambi parts.
So, I'm saving again, but this time for something a little bigger than .556!

But I'm not sure how it'll be received down at the range!

Any hobby worth having tends to be expensive.

Having said that, my AR isn't too bad but not low end of the price scale either.

Stag 3HL upper   $495
Global Tactical lower w/ stag LPK $170
Votex FH $42
Streamlight TLR-1 $109
Arms 40 $96
YHM front sight $59
EOTech 511 $304
Ambi-catch $90
Ambi-selector $26
Magpul PRS $254
TAG ASP sling $30
Aluminum Hanguard rail for original HG (carbine length) $30
Magpul ladder rail covers $22
buffer, spring, tube $20
30rnd mag $10
ACE delrin vert grip $32

TOTAL $1789

Nevermind all the $ in ammo, tools, cleaning supplies, etc.
