I see that the Rock River CMP has this chamber. Does it allow easy use of 556 or 223 ammo or does one work better then the other.

Either 5.56 or .223 is fine in the Wylde chamber.

Yes. It is sort of a happy medium. The leade is longer than the 5.56 and shorter than the .223. Provides lower pressures with 5.56 and the impoved accuarcy of the .223. That's their story and they are sticking to it.

I'm planning on buying a service style rifle to practice with, so I will be shooting primatily 5.56 62gr green tips, would it be able to stand up to heavy 5.56 use?
