I think DPMS has 1x7 twist 11.5" uppers.

yeah i am thinking about just getting the barreland upper and putting it togethr myself. Doesn't seem too hard and I could do it just the way I want.

Bushmaster. Call them and ask for the 1/7, 11.5" barrel. They usually have some sitting around.
