If you're the "Can Salying" type, I rather carry nothing (that will weight me down) on the rifle, but carry extra batteries, cleaning kit and spare mags on the range bag. As for a SHTF moment, then by all means carry extra batteries.

I have a Tango Down Battle grip and I will carry two extra AA batteries for my Eotech (once I get it)

I'd LOVE to see you fit an Otis kit in your pistol grip.

I just have my front sight adjustment tool in there. Don't really need to anymore but it fits nicely hehe. It's wrapped in the cleaning cloth for my RDS so it doesn't jingle around.

I choose batteries though.

Candy bar.

If it's a SHTF situation, and I needed to move out of my house, I'd either be in a vehicle filled with supplies, or wearing a vest/backpack with batteries/cleaning kit.

If I'm at the range, there's plenty of room for that stuff in a range bag, etc.

Thus - candy bar.

(but, from your list - I'd probably take the batteries)

+1

i would probably have batteries in the grip and the rest in the range bag since cans will wait for you if there are any problems with your rifle.

Not to hijack thread.
Standard pistol grip with open bottom.
Do you make own plug or are their commercial plugs available?
Thanks and now back to what to carry.
Battery for me as I have not found a Radio Shack near the range.
But without a plug they fall out

They're available. Just can't remember where. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

My G27 grip came with a rubber plug.

ETA - Here's one

There are commericial pistol grip plugs avaiable.

Here is an M16A2 stowaway pistol grip which has a trapdoor attached and here is a standard pistol grip plug.

I'm ready for anything! Actually I do this in case I can only grab my carbine and go.

I have a spare bolt, CAM pin and Firing Pin Retaining Pin in my VLtor VFG, Otis Cleaning kit and patches in my Magpul Miad Grip, and batteries for my SFM8960 and Eottech along with a tube of CLP in the storage tubes of my VLTOR Modstock. (I use an old sewing machine oil plastic tube, empty it, and inject CLP into it. Works Great!)

Man this gun is heavy!!!
