Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Forge Mark identification

I have an upper receiver that is marked with a C and under that is an MB. I understand from searching in these posts that a C with an M indicates a Colt, Martin Marietta. Can any one tell me the maker of the C over MB piece? Many thanks for any help. Connscot
