| What configuration would be best for me? I am a girl and I don't want anything to heavy, and big. Something little and light. Tell me what you think.......... |
| depends on how much you want to spend and what brand. I have seen some cheaper ones that are very basic and simple for around 700, and more ubertactical for 1400 or buy the kit and build one. a kit is only $445 and then spend what you want to on a lower http://model1sales.com/item-detail.cfmID=KCE16LM&storeid=1&image=car16prelwm16.gif&CFID=4406420&CFTOKEN=61108936 then find a lower of your choice, I would recomend snsindustries.com/ |
That would depend on the brand. The higher end brands are your ABCs (Armalite, Bushmaster and Colt) .... then there is Rock River Arms, Stag Arms and Olympic Arms which a lot of memebers prefer too. Here you go. ARMALITE BUSHMASTER FIREARMS COLT ROCK RIVER ARMS STAG ARMS OLYMPIC ARMS Model 1 Sales is very cheap compared to the lot, but it is hit or miss on their products. But check them out too. MODEL 1 SALES Hope that helps. Good luck. |

A 16" (or CMMG 14.5" with perm flash hider) mid length gas system Gov't profile carbine with a CAR (like Stag Arms) collapsible stock. Another alternative would be a permanently installed Vortex/ Phantom flash hider on a 14.5" Gov't profile barrel or a 16" LW/ superlight CAR. If a lighter weight is desired, the barrel area in front of the front sight of the Gov't profile could be either flutted or contoured to a thinner profile. |

Best guns for a girl: Pistol Glock 19 9mm $450 Smith and Wesson p99compact in 9mm $485 Rifles: Model 94 trapper ,winchester , in 357 or 30/30 $300 CAR Ar15 $700-800 Shotgun: Mosberg 590 with ghostrings $325 remington 870 youth $189 And stay out of "general" they eat newbies for a snack. |
Ok thanks. I just realized it. They all think I am a guy, but I'm not. |
You can put together a very nice, and simple, Superlight or M4 carbine for around $700-750. Even less than that if you don't get some of the frills (like going with a non chrome lined barrel, lesser known names, etc.). |
yea, sorry, but eveyone in GD seems to think that all newbies (expecially girls) are guy ![]() s running around trying to cause problems![]() anyways, a lightweight 16in w/ CAR stock is pretty light (mine runs around 6lbs) are you looking at a kit/personal build or a complete stock rifle? |
| Although I am not a girl, I really love my 16" SuperLight configuration. I still have a hard time getting over how much lighter is it than my 16" HBAR. Had them both out today, so the difference is still fresh in my mind. I also like my 14.5" M4 profile carbines. They are also noticably lighter than the 16" HBAR, or 14.5" HBAR for that matter. I think that you would be pleased with either configuration--16"SL or 14.5" M4... |
Thanks. Everyone else thinks I'm some troll, but I am just new and these are my first postings. I just wanted some help and I'm glad you guys are willing to help. |
|
Just to add. hopefully, more assistance, my wife loves her 14.5" HBAR. Guess you need to determine what you are going to be using your weapon for and make your decision based on what you want out of it. If you can, try the different configurations and pick what is most comfortable for you... |
