I was at the local funshop tonight and a guy was trying to order a .308 carbine and when my buddy went to call them he was informed that they had dropped the entire .308 line and that they also stopped production of the bullpup.
I was under the impression that the .308 rifles were pretty nice and considered getting one. Too bad  I thought the bullpup was dumb... |

I like this forum, but the cynicism is just too much.... not everyone is up on every latest thing in the industry. Bushy not making .308s anymore is news to me.

yep the .308 stuff is gone and that's a shame. But they have the sales results to show it isn't making a profit. Probably a loss
The bullpup will not be missed around here. Nor would the carbon stuff. Bushmaster's buying the Arizona company that pioneered carbon AR's was a dubious move. Looking forward to positive surprises from the SHOT Show. But I can hear it now.............. An ARFCOM-er heard exiting the SHOT Show on Day 1..................... "DUPE!!!" |

Just take it for what it is... while not nearly as good as it used to be (some really good people gave up on all of the bs), there is a great amount of technical info still on the forum -- true there is a group on here that can not contribute to the conversation, so they resort to just being goofey or pretending that they know what they are talking about. You will figure out pretty quickly who is who... I have a mental list of about six or ten names and once I see them hit a post two or three in a row, I just give up on that thread... the barfcom cancer got it. Welcome to the board... |
