Ok, I ordered my first AR... a 16" Elite Car UTE2 from RRA.  Now I have to wait 4 more weeks... Is there anything I need to watch out for, change, fix, etc before I shoot a few thousand rounds through it???  Also what are your thoughts on the proper break-in proceedure?

Clean it, shoot a couple hundred rounds through it, clean it.

Are you trying to post a picture?  If so, its not showing up.

Clean it, shoot it, clean it, repeat as needed.


If you aren't familiar with the AR15/ M16 platform, download the military manual and read it over a coupl e times.

I thought the same thing when I saw the thread title.  It may not be pretty, but it damned sure isn't ugly!!!  Of course, my HBAR is still postban neutered.  Tax time should bring a new "no ban" lightweight upper.
