I was thinking about getting a DPMS AR from Del-ton. Does anyone know if Del-ton's uppers have forward assist? Maybe this is dumb question. Do most AR's have a forward assist?

Also, does anyone know if their basic single stage trigger is any good? I think it is a DPMS trigger.

Yes by far most AR-15s have a forward assist.

I have a DPMS FCG that came with my CAR kit from Del-Ton. It’s just as good quality wise as my BM or RRA lower parts kits.

based on the e-mail i received from Del-ton two days ago, ALL of their uppers should have a forward assist, as they no longer carry, e-mail said lost source for, the early style "Slickside" (A1 sight, no FA not brass deflector) uppers. and all of the other uppers they list have a forward assist.

FWIW, DPMS is one company that does sell low-pro and hi-pro uppers which DON'T have forward assists. You can see them on their web-site here: www.dpmsinc.com/10Browse.asp?catID=1256.

Whether Delton carries these upper or not I haven't a clue, but DPMS makes 'em.
