All I'm missing is a stripped upper and a stripper lower - and I've got one very ugly, but very functional 18" 1:9 AR15!

It'll eventually manifest itself as an 18" 1:9 Dissipator (rifle length gas) with standard handguards, A1 upper, Redi-Mag, XS tritium front sight, stock trigger & grip, and stock.  My only problem is...I have a telestock with no sling....and an old A1 buttstock with a Bushmaster/JFS sling.

lol....wallah!  Truck gun!  lol.....

In another month I'll post pics....does anyone else have a franken AR made out of spare.....unwanted parts otherwise forgotten about?  This gun will be a compilation of shit since 2001!

I think I have enough to completely assemble one. It would mean putting a 16" post ban barrel on an SP1 upper receiver, so I haven't done it.  I have a complete lower ready to go, one of these days I'll build something for it.

I could build five right now, limited by spare lower receivers.

I just need a stripped upper to complete another one.

You need to buy about 8 or 9 lowers.  Then you could justify buying more parts!!

First pull out for AR stuff (the 2nd one has some AR stuff...but its not nearly as organized)

that spot on the side holds grips, rail covers, stuff like that.

Hmmm...I think I'm actually getting kind of low....

mongo,
those sweet uppers deserve a lower . . . .it's the right thing to do.

What I meant was that I have five lowers ready to go right now, but I have enough parts to build at least another dozen uppers.

I actually have more parts than time to build with.

So like I said earlier, you could buy 9 stripped lowers, and thus justify buying enough more parts to build another 2 uppers (than you already have parts to build).

Here is the spare parts gun I completed about a month ago.  After going through my parts I realized all I needed was a striped upper reciever and a gas tube.

Got tons of extra parts, enough for two to three builds, but the way I look at it is that each single part will manifest into a complete rifle someday, making a hundred rifles

one roll pin = one Rifle

I think I have about 600 ejcection port door hinge pin "C" clips.  I need a larger safe.

I like that logic....

I now know what to do with that extra gapper on the shelf

I am a few parts shy of another, but I'm also running out of safe space.  I have to be very careful when pulling anything out because one wrong move could cause a catastrophic domino effect in the safe.

I just finished my middy build last month, now it's about time for another.

For my next build I only need a barrel, gas tube, stripped lower and a buttstock set, I already got the rest of the parts as my spares.

I'm going to do a 20" A3 rifle with mostly CMT/ Stag parts.

This is my box that goes with me to classes.  There is enough in both levels to fix most any broken parts, or rebuild whatever is needed.  The rest of my parts, tools, and larger items  obviously don't travel with me on a regular basis, and are stored accorindgly.

I've got some spare parts.

Any man who considers sprayng an AR15 with primer grey is worthy enough to post in this thread....  You've got to have extra parts laying around to even think that way!

I realized I was exactly one gas tube short of a 20" gov't A2 one day, so I got out my camera and posted a bunch of parts on the EE.  They all sold in like 15 minutes.

I decided I really didn't want another 20" rifle, you see, so the money went towards building a carbine.

Now I'm starting to pile up parts again.  I really don't know how it happens, it's like they reproduce or something in there.

You've now discovered the secret reproductive cycle of the AR15... I started selling off spare parts after I found one day I had enough to build a whole new rifle, despite that effort I am still accumulating parts for yet another rifle at a rapid rate.

I'm short a barrel and gas tube to build another rifle type.  Just peddled some AK stuff to get at least halfway to a Bushie A2 barrel assy, but have to figure out a way to squeeze out the other half.

Anyone have a Colt or Bushie A2 type barrel they want to sell Cheeeeep?

I have 2 sets of FCG parts, a 4 position aluminum stock, and a 20" Bushmaster post ban barrel.

I figure I can get into my next build for around $400-$500 if I do a little searching.

I'll need an upper, B/C/CH, lower, gas tube, LPK springs and detents, possible float tube, and BUIS.

Did you just make this kit up yourself? I have been looking for a prepackaged kit of parts. Bushmaster or Rock River sells replacement kits, but they are parts for a single rifle. So, you have to order individual parts if you want, e.g. 3 cam pins or 5 extractors. I wish someone like Brownells would sell a kit of the more common parts that have to be replaced regularly, similar to your kit. Great  job, by the way.
