I placed an order for the first time with maparts.com yesterday for a next day shipment.

No shipment confirmation was sent via email. I called and got a rather abrupt person answering the phone. I asked why it hasn't shipped and he gruffly replied that they were busy with a show and whatnot, then asked if they might cancel the order.

No apology for the delay, but at least promised to ship today.

I haven't seen an email confirmation of shipment, no tracking number.

Is maparts.com a site to be avoided?

Thanks!

there was a really bad incident that happened here in houston with one of the members and a m&a rep/worker

after that i refuse to order from them and with them claiming to offer/use lmt parts i very weary about them.

look up jt distributing in the industry forum, great people to deal with and great products to back it up.

The Service from M&A is questionable at best.  Go with JT distibuting or even better Del-Ton and tell tony Pet sent ya.

Thanks folks! I'll cancel my order with them. Adding them to the list to avoid along with Botac and Florida Gun Works.

In my experience, they are of a lower grade. Both in product and professionalism.

A year or ago I would have said the same of JT, but they seem to be getting better.

i got a kit from them about two years ago and though not as great as some of the factory built rifles it was much better quality and service from them compared to the others

It's a holiday, in their defense the shippers are closed

I got an ARMS 40L, TangoDown vert grip, and a couple mags from them a while ago. Delivery was fast, parts were in factory packages...only real complaint I had was the prices were slightly higher ($3-$5) than others'.

How can you start a thread complaining about something that has not happened yet? Yesterday probably wasn't the best day to order anything with one day shipping in the first place.

I have great luck with M&A so far. Every order has arrived right on time.

Well, there you have it. If the Dinger has had good luck somewhere, it has to be good.

"Questionable" is a nice term for these folks.  I would use other descriptive words for them.  I am guessing that Bill Caplan himself is posting as Veronica.  Its amazing what people will do on the internet for some $$$.

Now that M&A Parts have been booted from the Houston Gun show at the Reliant Center for their assualt of an ARFCOM member, they have started to market heavily on this board without giving the Avila's the common courtesy of paying for a dealer membership.

How many of their threads have been locked for this transgression?  Why can't they get with the program and act like upstanding citizens instead of what they have proven themselves to be?

Personally, I feel they showed their true colors a long time ago and continue to show them here by freeloading on this board.

As a reference I placed the order on Tuesday for next day shipping. Shippers are open on Tuesday and even Wednesday.

When I called Wednesday, it was said the order would be shipped that day.

I'm neutral on MAParts, but having a bad first experience with them really turns me off.
