Just curious to ask,
FSB, standard or flip up type.
What is the reason to have the pinned type compaired to a screw on flip up type?
Why wouldn't the flip up be more common?
thanks

Any idiot can install either a pinned or a screw front sight base. The difference is that the pinned FSB installed by an idiot won't work loose and rotate around, causing the sights to be useless and the gun to function as a single-shot. If you are going to use a screw FSB, you will want to loctite the screws and make witness marks to verify that they aren't coming loose.

I understand about the loosing up issue, and loctite the screws is correct.
I was just wondering why is the standard more common than offering the flip up style

the std fsb cost what 30 bucks while a flip up is 100.

any thing over 4x the fsb disapears in the scop and on an aim point the fsb is there but does not get in the way.
