Howdy

Thought it was about time to take the plastic handguars off my entry tactical and go with a cnc machines tactical handguard.

My question, should I go with the 2 piece set or a freefloat one?

Bare with me I am new to all of this, the only addons I have at the moment is vertical grip...bipod...light   that and I always thought the look of the tactical handguars were interesting nonetheless....

Thank You

Very much appreciated

generally, a 2 piece would not only be cheaper but easier to install

i went w/a YHM 2 piece

I would go two piece unless you are mounting an optic or laser on the forend that would require a totally solid lockup.

+1 on the Midwest Industries. I just installed mine, 1min job looks good and functions well (seems to be in spec...TD VG fit nicely no movement anywhere)

If you are going to use it for tactical purposes get the 2 piece type.

If you're going to use it for accuracy or have a LW barrel get the FF type.

If you feel comfortable taking the FSB off to install a free floating HG (or willing to pay someone to do it), by all means do it. There is nothing a 2 piece can do that a FF cannot and there are advantages to free floating as mentioned above.
