I have the arms 40 and the arms 40L I also have the matech and the troy.  Out of all of them I love the Matech the most.  It has a BDC and is very tough and durable the weird thing is the Matech BDC functions perfectly on the 600 meter setting tried it yesterday.

I have used the ARMS 40 on my issue carbine in the military and it functioned perfectly.
If you are being issued a M16A4 they should issue a matech as I believe thats what they are handing out.

I'm in the Marines and as far as know they do not issue any type of buis. they did not issue them for our last deployment so I doubt they will for this one either.
thanks for the input!

There are lots of good ones - ARMS, Larue, Troy, Yankee Hill, GG&G, etc...

IMO, the Troy is the best.   Low profile, positive lock in the up position, light, simple

Whichever one you choose, I would make sure it can fit under an ACOG.
(I don't know if you have one or are going to be issued one, but just in case?)

I think that list includes:
KAC
ARMS #40L
MI
Troy Ind
GGG MAD

I believe the one in the pic is a KAC 600M flip-up.

Personally, in the flip-up variety, I like the Troy and ARMS #40.

My personal favorite is the good old CCH (chopped carry handle).  It's rugged, always where you need it to be, and has all the standard windage/elevation controls.  But I'm old fashioned.

I already have an ARMS #40L and just bought an ARMS #40A2.  They are are quality and have never given me problems.  Plus I just like ARMS stuff in general.

If anyone is interested in a CCH BUIS IM or email me.

It is hard to beat the Troy

It is rock-solid, fits under the ACOG, no springs, and locks up positive..........plus same plane apertures

Not to mention being the "in thing" in BUIS this Holiday season ...

seriously,.............it is the best for your application
