I was thinking of getting one or the other, but can't decide wich one.

I plan to use them on this rail system M73: www.rockriverarms.com/item-detail.cfm?ID=AR3005&storeid=1&image=hgrdsf.gif&CFID=5251685&CFTOKEN=52590379

My first choice: www.tdi-arms.com/images/large.php?id=240&num=2

My second choice: www.ergogrips.net/fcrailcover.html

Is one better than the other, or is it a matter of preference.

Thanks

Their pretty much the same. One is already cut into small lengths.

Its a matter of preference, as long as they fit correctly it doesn't matter. I prefer the Magpul covers, they have a tight fit and they feel great, I have them on a YHM 4-rail two piece handguard, but they will fit on the Surefire also

Between the two I would get the Ergo grips.

I have 4 rail type systems on my verious AR's  2 knight 's and a DD FF and a YHM. I personaly love the kinght rail covers. You can get them for next to nothing on the EE and they lock in place. The magpulls though are great and I use them for the top rail and for the flat top. But what ever feals best.

I have the Ergos, and they're fine.  I got the ladder type, they fill the space, are secure, leave no sharp edges exposed.  Oh yeah, got hte YHM on the RRA too.

Nice set up.
