i noticed on a few of my friend's military issue weapons, they use alot of a cloth-like tape on their magazines and the cheekweld areas. I've looked for some of this but can't seem to find any. Any suggestions where to buy it and what it's called? Thanks!

Diamondback Tactical has it.  Or, ask your friends for a role of it.  It is all over the place in the military.  When I was discharged, I had a couple roles of it still.  If they're in the military, I'm sure you could get some from them.

use the soft side, not the hook side, of velcro.................. its feels good and is quite durable if applied correct.
