i am looking at buying a vertical grip. i was hoping yall could tell me which ones to stay away from and which ones yall like. i was trying to keep it under $75.00. if that is possible, if not i will just have to spend the extra money.

The popular ones around here are either Tango Down - with battery compartment and tape switch provision OR Knights Armaments -plain and simple "broom handle" type. Both are rock solid.

There are several others around, GG&G, Fobus, ARMS etc. Everybody has an oipinion on why each is each others preference.

It is a matter of personal choice.

ETA: here's another thread with the same query Vertical Grips. You can get more ideas from there.

All the ones mentioned above are good choices. You will really have to try them and see what fits your hand the best. I have a TD and like how it has a compartment in it and it fits my hand.

as i stated in Joaquin's post, i use the TangoDown VG.  it feels really good in the hand and is devoid of any sharp edges.  Plus, the mount seems pretty solid so far.   my last VG was a KAC VG and on occassion the bottom screw cap would work its way loose from shooting and just handling the VG.   yeah, that's not really a big deal if you're just shooting at the range, but i carry my AR on duty and need it to be 'solid' everytime.   jus my 2 cents.
