I just snagged a Colt 6520 at the Reliant hall show for $999+tt&l, all NIB with mags etc. LE only marked gun, but I thought the price was fair. wasn't really looking for one but couldn't pass it up  Only my second Colt AR(first one I ever got back in '92 was a 6700HB) but I like how this carbine balances, light & handy. Might get the wife to try it out. |

yeah, I bought from A&J Guns(they're out of Dallas,said they do the Market Hall shows), this was the only Colt they had but they also had about a dozen various Bushmasters NIB, a lightweight Bushy too but I wanted the 1:7 barrel, the Bushy's were $100-200 less depending on model only other NIB 6520 I saw was $1275 with no mags one dealer had a bunch of cheap Oly's too, $640-750 (cast?) I'll probably take some pics tomorrow, I need to get it home(still at work now) & see what the feed ramps look like |
Shit, I didn't realize that they were being cut after anodizing...that actually pisses me off a lot. I've been trying to scrounge for a 6520, but I think I'll just get an ACOG now. I realize this isn't a huge issue, and I'm not dumping on your thread; just didn't expect this to be done by COLT's of all the makers out there.

I know thay used some cast lowers in their "plinker" line just a few years ago so I wasn't sure. I'm not a Colt snob btw. I've owned/built/traded RRA,DPMS,Bushmaster,Armalite,Ameetec AR's.
