I know this is somewhat of a loaded question Whats the average effective range of an AR (16') - I know there are lots of variables that effect this (as with any gun) But im just curious what the average shooter can do with his/her's AR - |

They fragment out to around 125-150yds, IIRC. They are accurate to some pretty decent ranges past that, though. I have shot a home water cooler (about 18"x36") with a 50% hit rate on a windy day with irons, Wolf ammo, and a heavy stock trigger before. I doubt it would have done much damage if it had been a person, but they certainly would have been hit. WIZZO |
