| I read on another site that all someone needs to do to make a left handed safety lever is to remove the lever (of course removing the selector detent and detent spring) and installing it from the right side of the receiver. Is this true? |
| At first I did not understand your question, then I figured it out. No what you ask will not work. If you want a safety on the right side ejection post side only then you will need to buy an ambi. safety from DPMS or Bushmaster perhaps others and grind off the std. one leaving only the wrong sided one. Or you could just leave it alone as is and have the lever on both sides. |

What you are trying to do will not work. For a lefty, I might suggest that you take a look at the new adjustable reversable safety that JP Enterprises has out now. link here! I installed one a couple of weeks ago. It is a quality piece and has a good feel to it. However, I'm not a lefty and have not researched what a lefty or ambi selector would cost as an alternative. So the price may or may not be a little high. |
