Currently planning a rifle build and I am researching some of the available accessories. I know that LaRue ranks among the best for rail systems, Troy Industries for BUIS, Tango Down for forward grips, and so forth, and of course it would be great to develop a serious case of BRD and to trick this puppy out. However, I think it is more important that the rifle be application appropriate, and since for now it will be mostly for the local indoor range, I don't think it should be too fancy. Just iron sights for now, with a rail system for a forward grip now and for the possibility of having optics and other upgrades in the future. Therefore, I was wondering whether anybody here has had any experience with the Bushmaster Modular Accessories System (BMAS), in particular the four-rail FF and maybe their flip-up rear sights. How is the fit and the durability? How do they compare to what YHM has to offer? I know you get what you pay for, but unless the BMAS (or YHM) stuff is far worse or something like the LaRue/Troy/etc accessories are far better, I'd rather spend the extra money on ammo for practice. |

I think the BMAS FF 4-rail IS the YHM rail. They just sell it in their catalog. THESE are labeled as "BMAS" but the part number starts with YHM-xxxxx ![]() WIZZO BTW I can't offer hardly any opinions on the subject because I've only played with the FF tubes at some gunshows, but the YHM I played with felt pretty wide. |
| Good point, WIZZO. All the BMAS part numbers do start with YHM, and I just took a look at some of the other products on the YHM site and noticed they look identical to what Bushmaster is selling as part of its BMAS. That answers my question as to how the two compare... |
