I have recently been have a problem when firing my M4gery.  Every time i take her to the range i end up with a shell stuck in the chamber.  i clean it every time i shoot it, i looked at getting a defender D-ring or somthing but i don't think that is the problem, becuase when i pound the shell out with a rod the rim of the case is trashed from me trying to pull it using the charging handle (and the bolt seems to grab it hard).  it also mostly happens after a bit of shooting, when the gun begins to get a bit hot.  it has a 5.56 nato chamber.  it hapend mostlky with wolf and i beleive that is why the rim get damaged when tryiong to extract the case but i m not sure why it gets that stuck to the point that i have to really beat it out with a cleaning rod.  any ideas?  this is driving me crazy, it shoots fine with no malfunctions and then all of a sudden, case stuck in chamber and no more shooting.  thanks in advance.

no it is new, i beleive the nickel cased. just recently bought it.  im not blamming it on the wolf yet, but as far as a remember it has only happened with wolf, but i have not shot a whole lot else recently.

well the silver bear has the red sealant and I bet that is what is causing it, when the chamber gets hot the sealant starts to flow and gums up the chamber, causing extraction to become more difficult the hotter it gets

i haven't used any ammo with the laquer sealant and i can't seem to get this one out, i soaked it in kroil, that didn't work now its soaking in carbon cutter.  i really ahve to beat this thing to get it out.

I have always shot lacquerd wolf in my AK without a hiccup.( about 2000 rds ). I just started to shoot the new polymer stuff and I had 2 FTE in 40 rds. I'm worried that it is being caused by the new polymer coating. Note: After the 2 FTE's with the polymer stuff, I went on to fire another 300 rds with the lacquerd rds without a problem.

its not the green lacquer coating that is the problem it is the red around the bullet crimp and primer......shouldn't be a problem with polymer

I had a problem with the extractor ripping a portion of the rim out.  After close inspection I realized that the extractor was worn to where it wasn't  grabbing the rim close enough to the case.  A new extractor fixed it right up.  I also installed a new Wolf extractor spring.  When mine did it, I had a hard time getting the case out too.

its is a relatively new extractor, but before i could punch it out with a rod, i have been pounding on this one for a while now, pounding real hard and it still won't come out.

In my experience, some AR's just don't like Wolf ammo, and others eat it like candy.
Your rifle might be one of the ones that doesn't like steel cased ammo.
Did you make sure you cleaned the chamber with the chamber brush after each time you shoot?
I recently helped a guy out who was having the same problem. He said he cleaned it, but when I asked him if he used the chamber brush, he gave me a look like he didn't know what I was talking about. As soon as he cleaned the chamber with the proper brush the problem stopped.
Hope this helps.

I have an AR that does that.  My AR can shoot about 60-70 rounds  just fine...  but then I think the chamber changes shape , or something like that...   I need to use a rod to remove Shell.  I then clean chamber area with brush, then its ok .....    I brought another AR with me to range same ammo.... That one can shoot forever with no problem...   Its driving me crazy!    Maybe the weapon needs alot of "break-in" ...  Will keep shooting it,  to see what happens.

Take a wooden rod and beat the hell out of it, that's what I had to use to remove my wolf FTE.  I had no damage to my barrel.
