I have a Colt MT6700c HBAR.  Does anyone know how easy the factory compensator is to remove? It is held on by two roll pins (1 on top and 1 on the bottom).  Is it only a matter of drifting out the pins?  Is it held on by any other means?  How messed up is the barrel likely to be under the compensator?

There are two slots in the barrel, where the pins pass through.  If you plan on threading the muzzle, these two slots will go away when you remove material for threading.
