I noticed that my adjusting tool (4-prong, steel) did not work well with the actual front post. I got out a drill that was slightly larger than the hole in the tool and drilled it deeper. It turns out the hole was not drilled/cast to the proper depth to allow the standard front A2 post to fit. When I tried to use it on the freakishly tall Colt A3 post, the tool would not seat properly. WECSOG in this case solved the problem. I know I could use a myriad of other methods to adjust the front post, but the "tool" seems to work very well now thanks to this 1 minute fix. I hope this tip helps someone else. |

It is similarly necessary to bore them out to adjust a Trijicon FSP, as the tool is designed only for the GI square post, and is only deep enough to fit the post in the center of the tool. The Trijicon FSP is rectangular when viewed from the top, and the unmodified sight tool's teeth won't reach the adjustments on the post until the center has been bored out. It's a quick, easy fix. -Troy |
