Posted this in the optics section, but I aint gettin' no love.

Help!!

OK, I have an old school Aimpoint Comp M and a Troy Aimpoint cantilever mount.

I have tried to mount the Aimpoint in the Troy, but the battery cap is in the way of the top ring.

I have removed the battery cap, installed the top ring, but cannot put the battery cap back on.

The top ring seems kinda thick.

Also rotated the Aimpoint in the mount with the top ring in place, replaced the battery cover and tried to rotate the Aimpoint back to the correct positon-no luck.

Help, anyone have any advice or suggestions or am I:

A. Screwed?

B. Impaired?

Move this to the Optics forum where the Optics/Mounts Geeks can help you out?

I didn't even know Troy made an Aimpoint mount.

I originally posted there, no luck.

Troy did, I believe it came out a long time ago.  Mount appears to be well made, just having a problem with this one issue.

You posted it on a weekend.  The hard core guys are out shooting

Give them some time now that it's Monday.

BTW thanks for the info on the Troy mount.  By any chance do you have a photo you could post?

Thanks!  BTW have you talked with the guys at ADCO?  If they sold it I'm sure they would know how to deal with the issue.

Now that is the advice/suggestions I was asking about!!

Great idea, and of course, why did I not think of that?

Thanks Forest!
